Logistics optimization and planning system for an oil and gas terminal.

2024 - 2026

Description (General): A tool has been developed for calculating terminal capacity, predicting bottlenecks, and automatically generating supply planning recommendations, taking into account multiple constraints. The system automatically imports data (Excel/API), maintains a daily balance, visualizes capacity utilization, and provides the user with a ready-to-use Excel report with alerts and recommendations for reducing or shifting capacity to maximize efficiency.

About project:

An analytical platform has been created that models the operation of three key stages of the terminal:
Railway overpass: Calculation of limits for the acceptance of petroleum products, taking into account the type of raw material and pipeline restrictions.
Tank farm: Optimization of product distribution among tanks for the accumulation of ship batches, calculation of the feasibility of storage, taking into account customer priorities.
Berths: Planning a vessel loading schedule, taking into account storms and maintenance, calculation of the cargo accumulation time.
Key feature of the project: Mathematical optimization models have been implemented for the distribution of limited terminal resources. Unlike simple limit checks, the system solves a multi-criteria problem: maximizing the efficiency of shipments while observing the technological limitations of the three stages and customer priorities.
